Trip to Sylt, Germany

I took this photograph from the train window on my trip from Kiel to Sylt. The elevated view made this small German town appear somewhat surreal and mystical. It made me feel as if the whole landscape was torn from the pages of a masterfully illustrated storybook.

Hudson River Park

The sunset at Hudson River Park was absolutely stunning today. The waterside park is located in Manhattan and extends from 59th Street south to Battery Park. There are always people here running, walking their dogs, etc. I am so grateful that I live just around the corner from this gem.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Stopped here after class and purchased a caramel iced coffee which was just a tad too sweet. This chain coffee shop has a similar selection and pricing to Starbucks. While the coffee was decent, I really enjoyed their chalk drawing of grumpy cat with the following caption: "Life is too short for bad coffee".

My roommate was listening to the new John Mayer album when I got back to my dorm room. She mentioned that this was her favorite song off of the album.

Summer 2013: Siekierezada

Siekierezada Restaurant

While on vacation in Poland, my parents took me to a restaurant called Siekierezada located in the Bieszczady Mountains. They mentioned how they would often come here as teenagers and that it was also a very popular tourist attraction. This was honestly one of the most interesting locales that I have ever been to. The whole restaurant was covered in traditional art synonymous with the area. While we did not eat there, I did enjoy one of their craft beers which was incredibly smooth and delectable. If you are ever in the area I suggest giving this restaurant a visit since it not only offers a feast of traditional Polish dishes but is also a feast for the eyes.

KSU - Moje Biesczady

KSU is considered to be one of the most influential Polish punk rock bands ever. This song is written about the Biesczady mountains, from which the band members hail from. I feel that this sound works ideally in capturing the essence of Siekierezada and the mountain range that houses the restaurant.

Frozen Yogurt at 16 Handles

This photo was taken at 16 Handles in the West Village. This place is definitely one of my favorite frozen yogurt joints. The flavor pictured in this cup is cider donut with strawberry, kiwi, and peanut butter sauce toppings. The cider donut flavor was not only delicious but incredibly appropriate for the start of Fall.
